GHOST TOWNS
Silver City was the best ghost town in Idaho at one time, but now is coming back to life as restored summer homes and a few businesses. In winter, there is just a caretaker there, so it could be called a part time ghost town. Silver City was the Owyhee County seat from 1866 to 1934 and once had a population of about 2500. The photos in this gallery were taken in 2013, with comparison photos from 1991 and 2000.
