Fantasy Canyon sandstone formations, Utah

During the Eocene Epoch this was the fringe of ancient Lake Uinta with layers of mudstone, sandstone, and claystone deposited as ancient river sediments. Wind and water erosion ate away all but the sandstone which was weathered into these strange formations.
