Storekeeper Charles Pfeiffer bought this house in Custer, Idaho in 1890. Custer is now part of Land of the Yankee Fork State Park.
Custer was founded in 1879 and several mines produced gold in the 1880's. The mines played out and Custer was a ghost town by 1910.
